Weekly Reminders Friday 16th October
16/10/2026

🎃👻 Friends of Coldfall are holding a Spooky Halloween Cake Sale on Friday 23 October (last day of term) to raise money for the school. The sale will be held on the upper playground, from 3.20 - 3.45pm.
🙏 Thank you to Year 1 parents and carers for providing the cakes for our Halloween event.
🎆 Friends of Coldfall Fireworks Night – Friday 6th November 🎆
✨ Let’s make this year’s Fireworks Night magical!✨
🙏🏻We need lots of parent volunteers to help make the evening a success. It’s a big night of fundraising & a brilliant community event for our children, and whether you can spare an hour or stay a little longer, every helping hand makes a huge difference! ❤️
🙏 Each year group has its own stall which has been shared with your class WhatsApp group, so please check to see where your help is needed. We also need volunteers from all year groups to help with set-up and clear-down.
🎇 All stalls close at 7:30pm so volunteers can enjoy the fireworks with their children!🎇
❤️ Please sign up for a slot if you can! The more who get involved, the easier it is for everyone, and together we can give our children a fantastic evening to remember. You’ll be helping our school community while enjoying one of the highlights of the Coldfall calendar!

🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who volunteers and supports our school events. We really couldn’t do it without you! 💙🎇
Sickness and when to keep children at home.
As a general rule, children who are unwell should not be sent to school. Any child with a stomach-related 'bug', for example diarrhoea or vomiting, should not attend school for at least two days (48 hours) after the cessation of vomiting and/or diarrhoea.
Please note, should your child continue to be ill, then it is after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea that the 48-hour rule will begin. If a child is returned earlier, you will be asked to return to collect your child.

Crouch End Halloween Trail 🎃
Join local families for an afternoon of Halloween fun on Wednesday 28 October, from 12pm to 4pm, as David Astburys’ annual Crouch End Halloween Trail returns for half term.
Children can come along in their Halloween costumes, collect a map from David Astburys, 15 Park Road, N8 8TE, then follow the clues around Crouch End, visiting local businesses and collecting stamps before returning for a Halloween sweet treat.
There’s also a fancy-dress competition, three hidden ghosts to find with prizes up for grabs, and a Toy Project pop-up sale to explore. More than 750 children joined in last year, and we’d love to welcome some Coldfall families this time!
Tickets are £3 per child, with all ticket proceeds going to The Toy Project, which restores and redistributes pre-loved toys to children and families who need them.
